“One day” is a picture dictionary for children from 10 months old up to 2 years old. Over 200 colourful and friendly drawings show basic objects and animals that a child can encounter during the day.
Younger readers can play by guessing which word their parent just read, or may try to assign a sound to a particular picture. Older children can try to repeat the words by themselves.
Words in the book have been arranged in the order of a daily routine. From morning to evening. From the pillow laying on the bed to the moon outside the window. From awakening to falling asleep.
We used our font Mr Orange for all texts in the book.
Every page was drawn on paper in size 50% smaller than the final image in the book. We used thin layout paper and a fixed 3 by 6 grid underneath to make quick sketch and then another layout paper for the inking.
